The Paramedic Service provides 24 hour a day, 7 days a week coverage responding to the emergent and life-threatening medical needs of the community.

The Emergency Management Program supports revisions to the County Emergency Plan, organizes training and public education, conducts exercises, ensures legislative compliance and responds to the requests of the lower-tier municipalities during the declaration of an Emergency or Disaster.

The Department provides oversight for Fire Dispatching Services throughout the County.

The Department manages the contractual relationship with the Ontario Provincial Police for the provision of 9-1-1 telephone services.
