Emergency Services Department

EMS Crest

The County of Renfrew Emergency Services Department has four main components of business:

  • The Paramedic Service provides 24 hour a day, 7 days a week coverage responding to the emergent and life-threatening medical needs of the community.

  • The Emergency Management Program supports revisions to the County Emergency Plan, organizes training and public education, conducts exercises, ensures legislative compliance and responds to the requests of the lower-tier municipalities during the declaration of an Emergency or Disaster.

  • The Department provides oversight for Fire Dispatching Services throughout the County.

  • The Department manages the contractual relationship with the Ontario Provincial Police for the provision of 9-1-1 telephone services.

We are committed to continuously improving the systems required to assist Paramedics and other emergency personnel while responding to the critical needs of your community.
