The Bonnechere Manor Senior/Adult Day Program opened February 1997 with the program expanding into two communities in May 2001; Cobden and Eganville. With the success of the first two satellite sites, the program further expanded in September 2004 into Beachburg and in August 2005 a site was opened in Calabogie. These programs provide structured and supervised social and recreational activities that are both meaningful and entertaining for the individual. These activities contribute to supporting individuals in their own homes by assisting them to function at their optimum level and remain living in the community. For those who live alone, the program prevents loneliness, isolation and boredom. Individuals who are caring for a senior/adult in the home setting need caregiver support, which is accommodated through the program. The caregiver can rest assured that their loved one is being cared for in a supportive environment through caring staff members.
