Mission Statement

We are committed to ensuring a professional client-focused approach, which recognizes individual worth and fosters forward movement towards personal and financial independence. Given the resources at our disposal, we will endeavour to operate with maximum efficiency and effectiveness to ensure that all legislative services are delivered in a courteous, accurate and expedient manner, in an environment, which both encourages and assists our clients. 

The department delivers the Ontario Works program to approximately 1,100 clients on a monthly basis from two Main Sites and two Satellite Offices strategically located in the County of Renfrew. The Main Site locations are situated in Pembroke and Renfrew. The Satellite Offices are in Killaloe, and Arnprior. The Ontario Works Program, a target-base funded initiative, focuses on encouraging client forward movement towards financial independence by employing the following strategies: Employment Supports (resume preparation, information sessions), Community Participation Placements, and Employment Placements.
