AND WHEREAS under section 5(3) of the Act, the County of Renfrew’s capacity, rights, powers and privileges must be exercised by by-law;
AND WHEREAS under section 31(6) of the Act, if a municipality acquires land for the purpose of widening a highway, the land acquired forms part of the highway to the extent of the designated widening;
AND WHEREAS the County Operations Committee has reviewed and approved the purchase of the land described, for the purpose of road reconstruction.
THEREFORE the Council of the Municipal Corporation of the County of Renfrew hereby enacts as follows:
1. That the land located on County Road 68, in part Lot 24, Concession 11, geographic Township of Brudenell, Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch & Raglan, described as Part 6 on Plan 49R-17459 be purchased from Keith and Rita Cuddy for the sum of five hundred dollars ($500).
2. That the land located on County Road 68, in part Lot 24, Concession 11, geographic Township of Brudenell, Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch & Raglan, described as Parts 1, 3 and 15 on Plan 49R-17459 be purchased from Ellard and Anna Hudder for the sum of five hundred dollars ($500).
3. That the land located on County Road 68, in part Lot 24, Concession 11, geographic Township of Brudenell, Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch & Raglan, described as Part 2 on Plan 49R-17459 be purchased from Ellard and Anna Hudder for the sum of five hundred dollars ($500).
4. That the land located on County Road 68, in part Lot 24, Concession 11, geographic Township of Brudenell, Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch & Raglan, described as Parts 4 and 5 on Plan 49R-17459 be purchased from Ellard and Anna Hudder for the sum of five hundred dollars ($500).
5. That the land located on County Road 68, in part Lot 22, Concession 10, geographic Township of Brudenell, Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch & Raglan, described as Part 15 on Plan 49R-6331 be purchased from Deana Malcolm for the sum of five hundred dollars ($500).
6. That the lands identified above are hereby dedicated as part of the public road allowance immediately upon registration of the transfer documents.
7. That this by-law shall come into force and take effect immediately upon the passing thereof.
