Bonnechere Manor provides long-term care services to 177 residents within six Resident Home Areas. Two of these Resident Home Areas specialize in Alzheimer / Dementia Care through the Gentle Care Approach, which seeks to eliminate boredom, loneliness and helplessness, by providing interaction children and animal companionship as well as the opportunity to care for other living things like plants and fish. Our Resident Home Areas surround beautiful courtyards that make the outdoors accessible for all residents to enjoy summer activities, gardening programs or an evening stroll.
Every Home consists of private, semi-private and basic, fully furnished bedrooms, small intimate dining rooms, activity room with kitchenette service, therapy/exercise rooms, and lounges with colour cabled televisions, telephone/computer services, and gas fireplaces.
Our long-term care service provides 24-hour nursing care by Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers under the direction of the Medical Director, Attending Physicians and Nurse Practitioner. Rehabilitation services are provided in-house by our Restorative Care Workers and CentricHealth Physiotherapy. Our support staff in laundry, housekeeping, maintenance, administration and food services, including a dietitian, are always available to provide their services and attention to our residents.
Residents can choose between private, semi-private (single bedroom with shared bathroom) or basic (shared bedroom and bathroom) rooms. The rates for preferred (private & semi-private) and basic are set by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

Bonnechere Manor has six resident home areas (RHA), with two RHA specializing in Dementia/Alzheimer care.
Each RHA offers:
Small intimate RHA of 35 residents and the Dementia/Alzheimer secured RHA of 20 residents
Spa containing a therapeutic tub, shower and ensuite washroom
Spacious, bright activity room
Centrally located home-like dining room
Spacious lounge area with colour cable TV, public telephone and gas fireplace
Access to outdoor gardens and walkways
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care annually sets the accommodation rates for our facility. We offer preferred and basic accommodation.

One of our specialty therapies available at Bonnechere Manor is our Snoezelenä Room filled with special lights, soft soothing music, a variety of textures, mirrors, calming pictures, and a comfortable chair creating a multi-sensory environment that helps to decrease anxiety and agitation.

Upon receipt of an application, the Placement Coordination Service of the local Community Care Access Centre will determine eligibility and authorize admission to a Long-Term Care facility based on your choices and availability.
