Real Property Assets
The County of Renfrew owns, operates and leases a variety of buildings and facilities throughout the the County to provide services to the public and manage its ongoing operations. The County's central Administration complex is located at 7 and 9 International Drive, Pembroke, Ontario, Canada. 9 International Drive, houses administration departments with the facilities for the County Council and Committees. 7 International Drive houses administration departments on the upper floor and leases to the Renfrew County Health Unit on the lower floor.
The Real Property Asset Division provides:
Comprehensive Asset Management: Ensuring that all assets of the County of Renfrew comply with relevant legislation and corporate policy throughout their life cycle. Maintaining an inventory of holdings and forecasting capital costs. Providing maintenance services, program leadership and operation support to other departments.
Property and Contract Management: Ensuring that the buildings occupied by the County of Renfrew are appropriate to service the public need. Programs supplied by the county must have accessible facilities and be confident of the facility's functionality. Most services provided to the County of Renfrew for property purposes are contracted out. Managing these contracts is an ongoing function to ensure efficiency.
Utilities Management: In this era of ever changing costs in the supply of heat, hydro and fossil fuels, optimization of the efficiency of the buildings is paramount. Opportunities to improve efficiencies and methodologies for supplying base utilities must be exploited.
Real Estate Services: Ensuring that the County of Renfrew operations are supplied with accommodations that serve their needs in the location best suited for that purpose. A combination of ownership and lease arrangements maximize the program delivery. Surplus holdings are leased out or disposed of when appropriate.
Security and Accessibility Services: Providing corporate advice and direction on the appropriateness of asset and personnel security while maintaining public accessibility to services.
