The County of Renfrew is offering language translation services provided by Google TranslateTM as a free service to all visitors of the County of Renfrew website. Our goal is to assist English as a Second Language (ESL) users with a way to understand the programs, services and information provided by the County of Renfrew.

Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshops
With funding from the Champlain Local Health Integration Network, Miramichi Lodge offers chronic disease self-management workshops for persons in the community wishing to learn how to better manage chronic conditions. Dementia Care Family Support Group
Miramichi Lodge co-ordinates a Dementia Care Family Support Group, facilitated by volunteers who have experienced similar care giving challenges along with the assistance of the Alzheimer’s Society, on the last Monday of each month, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the Lodge. Heart Wise Walking Program
Miramichi Lodge offers a Get W.I.T.H. It! Community Walking Program in conjunction with the University of Ottawa Heart Institute every Tuesday and Thursday mornings anytime between 9:30 - 11:30 am, Fall - Spring. Meals on Wheels
Miramichi Lodge coordinates a Meals on Wheels program to assist seniors, disabled adults, and those with acute or chronic illness to remain in their homes through the provision of hot, fresh, and nutritious meals. The Meals on Wheels program is made possible with the assistance of Miramichi Lodge volunteers who provide free delivery services Monday to Friday for the lunch meal to clients living in Pembroke and Petawawa. These meals consist of a hot soup, a main entrée, a vegetable side, a potato side, a muffin or tea biscuit, and a dessert. Respite/Short Stay Program
Miramichi Lodge has two short-stay beds for respite care, supportive care or short stay crisis. This program provides a reprieve for the caregiver by allowing us to provide 24-hour nursing care to their loved one. Thanks to the County of Renfrew EXPO 150 fundraisers, the short-stay rooms are fully furnished. Supportive services are provided at the fee set by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and is subject to change annually. The County of Renfrew Paramedic Service provides free monthly wellness programs at Miramichi Lodge, open to anyone in the community. Drop in the third Tuesday of the month (except July & August), anytime between 9:30-11:30 am to have your blood pressure, blood sugar, oxygen saturation or weight monitored.
