The Development and Property Department is comprised of the following divisions: economic development, planning and land division, real property, forestry and trails, and native land claim.
The department is responsible for County-owned property, County of Renfrew forests, Algonquins of Golden Lake Comprehensive Land Claim, land planning services, and promotion of economic development in the County, including agriculture, forestry and tourism development. Tourism promotion is done by the Ottawa Valley Tourist
Association. Free small business consulting and youth program delivery is done by Enterprise Renfrew County.
The department is also
responsible for the abandoned K&P rail corridor between
Calabogie and Renfrew. A copy of the Management Plan for the
corridor was released by County Council for public input
and is available in its entirety and may be downloaded from links below.

Geosmart Mapping
The County of Renfrew partnered with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, Isosceles Information Solutions Inc. (now Gartner Lee Ltd.), local municipalities and school boards, to build an internet based interactive mapping tool accessible through the link below.
Using this tool, users can find the features of interest within Renfrew County and create their own custom map. Search for information about transportation routes, property boundaries, water features, community site, County forests, agricultural capability, rural civic addresses, scholl attendance areas and business locations.
