The Township of
Admaston/Bromley is a unique
municipality situated approximately 100 km. west of Ottawa.
The Township's major industry is agriculture - dairy, beef, cash
crop, sheep, hogs and goats. A network of Municipal Drains has
resulted in the most fertile and crop producing land in the Ottawa
Valley. The scenic Bonnechere River, which is often used by
canoeists, passes through the Municipality. The southern
portion of the Township is rugged by nature with a number of ridges
and hills providing opportunity for wood cutting, forestry and maple
syrup production. The Township has its own library, numerous churches, schools and retail businesses including outlets for
groceries, fuel, farm machinery, greenhouses and hunting and fishing
requirements. Admaston/Bromley also possesses seasonal
recreational facilities including many lakes, a tent and trailer
park, a golf course, excellent hunting and fishing, outdoor rinks,
skiing and access to groomed snowmobile trails.
