 Welcome to the
United Townships of Head, Clara & Maria, 25 minutes drive west of Deep River.
The Township consists of four small hamlets on
the shores of the Ottawa River with access to Algonquin Park. We are situated above the
Rapides Des Joachims dam and form part of the Ottawa Temiskaming Waterway.
If you appreciate quiet scenic beauty, this is the place for you. Our area is dotted with lakes and rivers, which
provide a myriad of opportunities
for the outdoor enthusiast including fishing, hunting, hiking, canoeing, boating, and
snowmobiling on OFSC trails.
Driftwood Provincial Park is located within our borders and we have excellent accommodations available: lodges, hotels, motels, housekeeping cabins and private trailer parks. Real Estate in the area is reasonably priced and there are
waterfront lots available.
