The County of Renfrew is offering language translation services provided by Google TranslateTM as a free service to all visitors of the County of Renfrew website. Our goal is to assist English as a Second Language (ESL) users with a way to understand the programs, services and information provided by the County of Renfrew.

The Pembroke District of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is reminding residents that a Flood Warning is still in effect for Renfrew County.
Residents should be aware that water levels on large lakes and rivers have not yet peaked and are continuing to rise. Currently water levels are high, the ground is saturated with water, ice has not melted off large lakes, snow in forested areas has yet to melt and significant rain is forecast for the area.
Any residents with flooding concerns should take appropriate action to protect their property. Anyone requiring sandbags or assistance should contact their local municipality.

Terminology: Notification Levels
WATERSHED CONDITIONS STATEMENT - FLOOD OUTLOOK: gives early notice of the potential for flooding based on weather forecasts calling for heavy rain, snow melt, high winds or other conditions
WATERSHED CONDITIONS STATEMENT – WATER SAFETY: indicates that high flows, melting ice or other factors could be dangerous for such users as boaters, anglers and swimmers but flooding is not expected.
FLOOD WATCH: potential for flooding exists within specific watercourses and municipalities
FLOOD WARNING: flooding is imminent or occurring within specific watercourses and municipalities.
