Community Paramedic Program (CPRU)
Through the Community Paramedic Program we ensure that clients receive the services they need such as:
The Sierra Team is made up of Paramedics who are specially trained to access difficult and remote locations. They then bring specialized medical care, and transportation to definitive care. This is a service to our residents and the visitors to our community.
Their special equipment allows our paramedics to access, treat, and transport residents of, and visitors to our community.
Remote Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS)
The Remote Piloted Aircraft System helps us at an emergency before the Paramedic crew can arrive. They perform search & rescue, deliver emergency medical supplies, and increase situational awareness. For example, they could deliver a life-jacket, epi-pen, or defibrillator to someone in need.
The County of Renfrew Paramedic Service Honour Guard traditionally serve at the funeral of a Line of Duty death. They also participate in parades, Line of Honours, municipal gatherings, memorial services and more.
The Pioneer Program is a way to bring current and retired paramedics together to show respect for years of dedication and commitment. It was a priority for the County of Renfrew Paramedic Service to encourage retirees in the community to volunteer at current public relation events like fairs, parades, medal ceremonies and wellness clinics.
All Primary and Advanced Care Paramedics work under the Regional Paramedic Program for Eastern Ontario. County of Renfrew Paramedic Services value the continuing medical education and ongoing training and professional development to strengthen their team.
