The County of Renfrew Licensed Home Child Care Agency is a directly operated program that works in collaboration with individual child care providers who use their own homes to provide care for children. The agency screens, approves, and monitors the Home Child Care Providers and their family under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 legislation. The County of Renfrew is seeking dedicated Child Care Providers who will ensure that the health, safety, nutrition, and well-being of the children in their care is their top priority.
The County of Renfrew Licensed Home Child Care agency has opted into the Canada-Wide Early Learning Child Care Program (CWELCC), and so by partnering with our agency, the families in your care would be eligible for fee reduction bringing their daily rate to an average of $10 a day. | Skilled Operator/Landfill Operator II - Town of Renfrew |

The Town of Renfrew invites applications for the position of Skilled Operator/Landfill Operator II. Under the supervision of the Public Works Supervisor the Skilled Operator will be responsible for operating winter maintenance equipment to ensure safe and accessible roadways (including shovelling) during snow and ice events. Also responsible for maintenance, repairs, cleaning and general upkeep of Town infrastructure. Under the supervision of the Manager of Environmental Services, the Landfill Operator II has an important role in working with customers, spotting trucks, directing users, and handling, sorting, managing, compacting and covering materials received at the landfill using equipment that is provided. This is a full-time permanent position, 40 hours per week, working as a Skilled Operator from November to April and transitioning to a Landfill Operator II from May through October each year. | Municipal Climate Internship |

Environmental Leadership Canada (ELC) is proud to announce that applications are open for the 3rd cohort of the Municipal Climate Internship (MCI). From January - July 2026 young environmental leaders (age 18-30) will be placed with host municipalities in Southern Ontario and Manitoba for a six-month internship. Program Highlights Paid Internship: Interns participate in a paid, full-time, six-month placement with municipalities invested in advancing climate change solutions in their local communities. They receive a stipend of $3,000/month for a total of $18,000 over the course of the internship. Comprehensive Learning: Interns are provided a unique opportunity to get a deep, day-to-day understanding of how municipalities operate and contribute to their municipality’s work to tackle climate change. They become well-versed in municipal government and politics through research, communications, mentorship and project work. Leadership and Professional Development: Outside of their placements, interns have the chance to develop their leadership and professional skills, meet municipal climate experts, attend networking opportunities and share their experience with others. The knowledge, experience and professional skills gained will help prepare participants for careers as local climate leaders.
