The County of Renfrew is seeking proposals from qualified Design-Build contractors for the complete construction and fit-up of a paramedic base facility. The County of Renfrew is currently in the process of acquiring a severed parcel of land at the corner of Mine View Road and Foresters Falls Road in the Township of Whitewater Region, which, for bidding purposes, will serve as the site for the new paramedic base. The project consists of a one-storey structure with three (3) drive-through vehicle bays and an attached crew area, a Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre (VTAC Office), and potential for additional storage, designed in accordance with the General Specifications for Paramedic Services Base Stations (Appendix A). The building must comply with all Ontario Building Code (OBC) post-disaster requirements. Utilities such as electrical, natural gas, municipal water, and wastewater services are not currently available to the proposed site. The successful proponent will be responsible for the design, permitting, and installation of all required utility systems, including private well and septic solutions.
