Pembroke, ON: Celebrating youth entrepreneurship, Enterprise Renfrew County proudly presents this year's Summer Company Program participants; seven ambitious students turning their business dreams into reality across Renfrew County.
Introducing On-The-Go Car Care by Cayden MacKinnon from Renfrew offering auto detailing; BlueBird Company by Haley Vanderzwaag from Westmeath offering subscription care packages; Unicorn Kitty Balloons by Katie White from McNab/Braeside providing event balloon animals; Ottawa Valley Grill Doctor by Kyle Radford from Eganville offering mobile BBQ cleaning; “I’ve Got Your Back” Babysitting Services by Scarlytte Merrill from Deep River offering mobile babysitting services; Ki’s Creations by artist Ki Myra from Pembroke; and SportsHub by Isa Jilani O'Brien from Barry’s Bay offering large lawn game rentals.
Meet these inspiring young entrepreneurs for a celebratory event during the Pembroke Business Improvement Area’s (PBIA) Youth Market taking place at the Pembroke Farmers' Market (Downtown Pembroke, Corner of Lake and Victoria Streets) August 29, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Summer Company Program empowers students aged 15 to 29 to launch their own businesses, fosters entrepreneurial skills and provides crucial startup funding. Participants receive up to $1,500 initially after completing training, with the potential for an additional $1,500 based on their summer business performance.
