Nominate an individual, not-for-profit organization or business from Renfrew County

The County of Renfrew is proud to announce that nominations are now open for the annual Warden’s Community Service Awards, which recognize outstanding contributions made by individuals, not-for-profit organizations, and for-profit businesses across the region.

These awards celebrate the spirit of community service and acknowledge those who go above and beyond to make Renfrew County a better place to live, work, and play. Whether through volunteerism, leadership, or generous support, nominees exemplify the values of compassion, dedication, and civic pride.

“Every year, we see incredible acts of service and generosity from people and organizations throughout Renfrew County,” said Renfrew County Warden Peter Emon. “These awards are an opportunity to shine a light on those who make a real difference in our communities. Let’s come together to recognize and celebrate the people and organizations that help make Renfrew County thrive.”

Who Can Be Nominated?

  • Individuals who contribute to community life through volunteer work, event organization, political engagement, sports leadership, or cultural preservation.
  • Not-for-profit organizations that provide essential services and support to residents, especially those facing challenges.
  • For-profit businesses that demonstrate corporate citizenship by sponsoring local initiatives, supporting youth programs, or investing in arts and culture.

Residents are encouraged to nominate friends, colleagues, organizations, or businesses that have made a positive impact in their community.

Once the nominations are received, they will be reviewed by a committee comprised of the Warden Emon, the Director of Development and Property and one member of County Council. All nominees are considered based on the criteria as to how they contribute to the County of Renfrew’s quality of life.
