RELEASE DATE:

April 7, 2025

The County of Renfrew is pleased to announce the host municipalities, locations and dates for Taste of the Valley events in 2025 and 2026. With a variety of excellent proposals to choose from, the difficult choice has been made.

The 2025 Taste of the Valley Host Communities are:

  • July 26: Township of Bonnechere Valley at the Eganville Arena
  • August 23: Township of Laurentian Valley at the Alice and Fraser Recreation Centre
  • September 20: Township of Greater Madawaska at the Calabogie Rink and Community Hall
  • October 18: Township of Whitewater Region at the Cobden Fairgrounds and Ag Hall
  • December 13: City of Pembroke, Knights of Columbus Hall

The 2026 Taste of the Valley Host Communities will be:

  • August 8: Township of Madawaska Valley at the Barry’s Bay Railway Station Museum
  • August 22: Township of Admaston/Bromley at the Douglas Recreation Centre
  • September 19: Town of Petawawa at the Petawawa Civic Centre
  • October 17: Township of Whitewater Region at the Cobden Fairgrounds and Ag Hall
  • December 12: Town of Renfrew at the Renfrew Armouries

All Taste of the Valley events will be hosted on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For more than a decade, Taste of the Valley events have become increasingly popular for both residents and visitors to Renfrew County. Originally developed to promote and support local food producers in the Ottawa Valley, Taste of the Valley has evolved to encourage an expanded focus on the notion of “taste” with the celebration of local produce, food and beverage products, art and culture, all from within Renfrew County.

Local vendors have always looked forward to and enjoyed the Taste of the Valley events, which take the concept of local farmers markets and artisan shows to a higher level and attract a larger number of vendors and much larger crowds.

“Taste of the Valley markets are a lot of fun. They feature big crowds, lots of friends and great sales,” says local farmer and long-time Taste of the Valley vendor, Marshall Buchanan of Ottawa Valley Farm to Fork.

This year, the event series kicks off on Saturday, July 26 at the Eganville Arena, followed by the first Taste of the Valley ever to be held at the Alice and Fraser Recreation Centre in Laurentian Valley on August 23, then in Calabogie at the Calabogie Community Rink and Hall on September 20, and the season caps off with what is traditionally the largest Taste of the Valley event on Saturday, October 18 at the Cobden Fairgrounds.

Vendor applications are expected to launch at the beginning of May. To learn more and find the vendor guidelines, please visit the Taste of the Valley website at:  www.totv.ca.
